25 years as a human factors engineer in

high-tech, health & consumer electronics


Intel - Intel's first Principal Human Factors Engineer, Paul created an integrated user-centered research-to-requirements process adopted by major divisions.

                 

Hewlett Packard - Helped develop the hardware and software UIs for the first hand-held PC (100LX) and an innovative, pop-out mouse for Omnibook laptops.


Lockheed - Worked on robotic vehicle and missile command and control system UIs, as well as design and evaluation of one of the early user-interface-simulation-systems (UIMS).


IBM - Paul worked on the first personal computers, studying mouse-design and out of box experience (OOBE).            


Cross-industry - Served as HFE lead / consultant for multiple industry groups (USB, PCMCIA, WiFi Alliance, PCI, DLNA, Continua Health Alliance).
